ambassador – carpentry

we’re seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to become our ambassadors.

• perform all functions of general carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, and installations, ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees.
• select proper materials for jobs.
• maintain dependable performance regarding attendance, acceptance of assignments, and adherence to all safety policies and requirements.
• communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors, vendors, and guests.
• operate and maintain power and hand tools (table saw, bandsaw, panel saw, routers, planers, compound miter saws) in safe condition.
• read and interpret blueprints or in-depth sketches.
• quote new projects and work with supply vendors on ordering the correct materials.
• plan and organize new construction, remodeling, and repair work without supervision.
• complete assigned tasks within time constraints implied by park guidelines.
• troubleshoot carpentry problems on rides or throughout the park.
• work at heights above 150 ft., on scaffolding up to 24 ft., and climb and work off ladders.
• walk uphill on 35‑40° slopes and stand or walk for prolonged periods in extreme weather conditions.
• lift up to 50 lbs. And push/pull up to 100 lbs. With assistance.
• perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
• work a flexible, hour‑based schedule to include opening, mid‑and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• consistently practice safe work habits, including use of personal protective equipment and reporting unsafe situations.

• at least 18 years of age.
• high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of onsite experience in the carpentry trade.
• valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a sea driver’s license.
• experience with cabinet building and framing; fabrication of solid surface and laminate countertops, roof repairs, drywall installation, concrete work, and more.
• ability to operate a wide range of power and hand tools.
• ability to quote projects and order materials with suppliers.
• self‑starter who can organize and plan work without supervision.
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in english.
• basic mathematical skills.
• good written and verbal communication skills in english.
• ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, including extreme heat; position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, loud noises/vibrations, and cold/heat temperature extremes.

$20.00 per hour.
