  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and field conditions to define project scope, access constraints, demolition requirements, and installation needs.
  • Perform material takeoffs, labor planning, and equipment pricing to build complete turnkey estimates.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and trade partners to secure current pricing, lead times, and scope coverage.
  • Work with electrical, roofing, concrete, ductwork, welding, piping, rigging, crane, and other trade partners to develop complete pricing for equipment replacement projects.
  • Attend site visits, pre-bid walks, and customer meetings to gather information and verify existing conditions when needed.
  • Prepare professional proposals with clearly defined inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, clarifications, and schedule considerations.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and field leadership to support constructability review and smooth turnover on awarded work.
  • Track open opportunities, follow up on pending proposals, and help maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
What We’re Looking For

  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC replacement projects involving chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, piping systems, and duct systems.
  • Ability to review plans, specifications, and field information and develop complete turnkey estimates for commercial mechanical work.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and subcontractors for electrical, roofing, concrete, ductwork, welding, piping, rigging, and related support trades.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general estimating, proposal, and document management workflows.
  • Valid driver license for site visits, customer meetings, and pre-bid walkthroughs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional technical training, trade school, or college coursework related to mechanical systems, construction, or estimating.
