Fiber Splicer Technician

Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a high-profile data center client for a fast-growing company. The hours are 6/12s with the option to work Sundays. The day to day will be approx. 60% testing fiber with OLTS or OTDR, 40% fiber splicing. The ribbon is 144s or lower. This is for an 8 weeklong commitment but with a possibility for extensions, or for the opportunity to move on to the next project awarded by this customer.

This candidate will need to provide their own PPE: gloves, helmet, boots, glasses, and vest.

• Install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables for high-speed data transmission.
• Perform fiber testing w/ OLTS or OTDR
• Work collaboratively with a large team to meet project deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols

• Minimum 2 years of fiber splicing and testing experience
• Ability to work 6/12s
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Reliable transportation to and from the data center site.
