Join the world's largest HVAC company as a full‑time Service Technician II. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment in Austin, TX (onsite).
What You’ll Do- Perform maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts, and lubrication.
- Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, chillers, water‑source heat pumps, air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
- Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent premature breakdowns.
- Analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform warranty service applications by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality.
- Lead the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC equipment, demonstrating steps to Technician Levels I and II and guiding centrifugal rebuilds.
- Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and technician tip reports in a timely manner.
- Interact with customers, provide status reports before, during, and after each call, and explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Participate in training through regional technician trainers, off‑site learning modules, and Daikin Learning.
- Maintain all required certifications and continually develop new skill sets.
- Uphold standards, policies, procedures, and a clean work area, and follow OSHA and Daikin safety policies.
- Travel may be required, including some overnight trips.
- 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility, or 7+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Rotational emergency call support as required.
- EPA approved universal technician certification or licensing required by local law.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available.
- Commercial HVAC industry experience.
- Experience mentoring less experienced technicians.
- OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding).
- Current first aid / CPR card.

Typical hourly pay range for this position in Texas is $27.60 – $44.29. Individual base pay will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
