Main Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
- Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and complete component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

- Strong, well‑rounded training on a variety of OEM equipment (Penske’s Technician Certification Program is a Continuing Automotive Service Education provider).
- Advanced vehicle maintenance technology.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and information.
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool and PPE use.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Compliance with DOT driver qualification requirements, including MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History, and for CDL holders, drug screening and FMCSA review.
- Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete application, background screening, drug screen, physical, and travel for training.
- Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools and controls.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work safely in all weather conditions.
- Maintain visual and auditory awareness near large trucks.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs; push or pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
Pay: $23.00 per hour.
Hours:
Friday–Tuesday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm.
Second shift start times after 11 am eligible for $2.00 per hour differential.
Third shift start times after 9 pm eligible for $3.00 per hour differential.
