Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

Our bakery warehouse is currently looking for a seasoned Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this position, you will play a vital role in keeping our production and facility machinery running smoothly, focusing on repairs, troubleshooting, and maintaining high standards for food safety and operational efficiency.

• Execute complex repairs on bakery machinery such as ovens, mixers, conveyors, proofers, and automated packaging lines.
• Identify and resolve intricate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
• Help maximize equipment longevity and minimize operational interruptions by managing preventative maintenance schedules.
• Address and fix facility‑related infrastructure issues, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Provide rapid responses to equipment breakdowns to ensure long‑term, reliable fixes.
• Support the setup, calibration, and commissioning of new production lines and hardware.
• Keep detailed records of all repairs, inventory usage, and work orders within the CMMS platform.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to HACCP, GMP, and OSHA regulations.
• Work alongside production staff to help boost overall equipment reliability and output.
• Provide guidance and technical support to less experienced maintenance team members.
• Manage relationships with third‑party contractors and vendors for specialized service needs.

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training highly valued.
• 5 to 7 years of professional maintenance experience within industrial, food production, or bakery settings.
• Prior exposure to automated production systems and bakery‑specific machinery highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency using maintenance tracking software and CMMS.
• Familiarity with critical food safety protocols, specifically GMP and HACCP.

• Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain on your feet, walk, bend, and climb for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to perform duties in environments that may be noisy, hot, or situated near active food production lines.
