JOB SUMMARYManages maintenance and repairs to structures on the farm and essential equipment, associated budgeting, material sourcing and procurement, and leads all safety aspects of all LSG operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Manages work on making repairs to various structures located on the facility.
- Collaborates with GM to build budgets for Cap Ex, labor, various small scale projects, etc.
- Procure quotes and issue Purchase orders for all materials sourced related to maintaining the facility.
- Maintain and repair buildings, greenhouse structures, mechanical equipment, machinery, and facility grounds.
- Evaluates problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed.
- Communicating with vendors to procure parts and/or services needed.
- Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching
- Services and repairs nursery vehicles, both gas and electric.
- Trains employees to properly inspect and maintain equipment, including forklift certification, how to use equipment and tools properly along with fall protection.
- Maintain all safety standards.
- Maintains inventory of replacement parts, oil, fuel, and tires.
- Oversees Installation, diagnoses, and repairs electrical issues within equipment, greenhouse controls, and traditional electrical circuits.
- Manages all administrative tasks for Maintenance department including ADP time clock/ payroll, safety meetings, etc.
- Assures compliance with state and federal laws regarding hazardous materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Must have at least 5 years of experience in Maintenance and similar roles.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESAt least 5 years of managerial experience leading teams to accomplish the roles and responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLSExcellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish required.
The ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
