Northrop Grumman is looking for an Electrical Avionics Technician (USN "AE / AT" rating) with experience on the F-18 aircraft. This effort will support a service life modification program San Antonio, TX where the F-18 Electrical Avionics Technician will be responsible for Organizational and Depot Level support of the aircraft's Electrical systems. To include:
Responsibilities:
* Understanding pre / post flight activities and inspections
* Performing maintenance operations on F-18 aircraft, aircraft equipment, engines, components, and systems in accordance all applicable directives.
* Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.
* Able to setup and use a torque wrench and use common hand tools such as: wrenches, safety wire pliers, etc.
* Able to operate specialty tools such as crimpers, multimeters, M1 meters, Air data test sets, pin extractors.
* Able to remove, replace, and function check aircraft components and assemblies
* Knowledgeable in wire repair, splicing, soldering and wire bundling.
* Able to disassemble, pin and de-pin connectors.
* Maintain electrical and instrument systems, including power generation, conversion, and distribution.
* Inspect and maintain aircraft batteries and electrical components.
* Maintain interior and exterior lighting on the aircraft.
* Handle electrical control of aircraft systems, including hydraulics, landing gear, utilities, and power plant engines
* Supervision of automatic flight control and stabilization systems.
* Detailing aircraft compass systems, altitude reference systems, and inertial navigational systems Basic Qualifications for F-18 Electrical Avionics Technician:
* Have at least 3 years of F-18 experience and familiarity with inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, removals, and repairs.
* Must have and maintain an active secret DOD clearance
* Must have comprehensive written and verbal English communication skills.
* Must have the ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate customer maintenance requirements.
* Must be able to clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc.
* Must be able to perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment.
* Will be required to comply with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD control, and all training and certification requirements.
* Northrop Grumman is looking for a Flight Test Technician 2 with experience on the F/A-18E/F aircraft. This effort will support service life modification program in San Antonio, TX where the F/A-18E/F Flight Test Technician 2 will be responsible for Organizational and Depot Level support of the aircraft's systems. To include:
Responsibilities:
* Understanding pre / post flight activities and inspections
* Performing maintenance operations on F-18 aircraft, aircraft equipment, engines, components, and systems in accordance all applicable directives.
* Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.
* Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions. Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.
* Able to setup and use a torque wrench and use common hand tools such as: wrenches, safety wire pliers, etc.
* Able to remove, replace, and function check aircraft components and assemblies
* Maintain electrical and instrument systems, including power generation, conversion, and distribution.
* Basic Qualifications for F/A-18E/F Flight Test Technician 2:
* Have at least 4 years of FA-18E/F experience and familiarity with inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, removals, and repairs.
