Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
STS Technical Services is hiring Level 2 Electrical Technicians in San Antonio, Texas. This role supports aircraft electrical modification, repair and assembly work, including connector terminations, wire harness routing, electrical inspections and depot‑level wiring support.

Position OverviewLevel 2 Electrical Technicians will perform aircraft electrical assembly, installation, inspection, modification and repair tasks in accordance with engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications and retrofit requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow standard work instructions and the flexibility to support changing mission requirements.
Required Qualifications- Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables and fiber optic wiring
- Understand routing instructions and proper handling of harnesses
- Perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes
- Perform assembly, installation, visual inspection of physical characteristics, modification of wire bundles and electrical assemblies, operational checks and quality checks of aircraft
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairs
- Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot‑level modification and repair of electrical wiring
- Interpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal orders and electronic orders
- Interpret job layouts and related technical documentation
- Use all equipment in accordance with established safety and operating procedures
- Perform all tasks involved in the coordination, preparation and movement of material and tools
- Maintain necessary Boeing‑administered certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work
- Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements
- Schedule may include weekends and holidays
- Mission requirements and/or workload may require scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- Ability to operate riding‑type electric powered elevating equipment to complete work assignments
- Ability to troubleshoot organizational and depot maintenance level malfunctions in aircraft electrical systems
