Join a dedicated team at Talon/LPE, a leader in environmental and drilling services, as a Drilling Technician. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow within the drilling industry. As a Drilling Technician, you will work closely with experienced drillers, supporting daily operations and gaining hands‑on experience with drilling rigs and equipment. The role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in various weather conditions, travel to diverse job sites, and be part of a small, collaborative crew.

- Assist the drilling crew with setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling rigs and related equipment.
- Drive large trucks to and from job sites as directed by the supervisor.
- Load and unload drilling, sampling, and well installation equipment and supplies.
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, documenting tasks as required.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicles and equipment are in safe operating condition.
- Perform physical labor, including shoveling debris and transporting materials using proper lifting techniques.
- Assist with the collection, labeling, and storage of samples.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Ensure proper clearance from energy sources and stability of drilling equipment onsite.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, and maintain required certifications.
- Be available for extended hours or on-call work as required by project schedules or emergencies.
- Travel to remote or local job sites as needed.
- Prior experience operating equipment is preferred.
- Active CDL driver's license or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, including remote locations.
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
- Physical ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
