We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ride Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure that our rides and attractions are effectively maintained and operated.
PositionSummary
The Ride Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all attractions, rides, and facilities within the amusement park. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain the highest standards of safety and guest experience.
Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on amusement park rides, attractions, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with rides and equipment, and perform necessary repairs or maintenance in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of safety systems, including restraints, harnesses, emergency stops, and ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists for all rides and attractions, and document all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new rides and attractions, including mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and testing.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as revenue and operations, to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks.
- Respond to guest and team member reports of maintenance issues promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and procedures and actively participate in safety training and initiatives.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, and report any supply needs to the maintenance supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, preferably in an amusement park, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, electrical systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for rides and equipment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and departments.
- Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, bending, and working at heights.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate park operation schedules and unplanned maintenance needs.
- Must be comfortable working at heights greater than 100 feet.
- Background check and drug test will be conducted upon employment offer.
- Certification in equipment-specific maintenance and repair, such as electrical systems and hydraulics,
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and scheduling maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of OSHA and industry safety regulations related to amusement park operations.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts or scissor lifts, for maintenance tasks.

The Ride Maintenance Technician will primarily work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, as well as in indoor maintenance areas and workshops. The role may involve exposure to loud noises, heights, and moving machinery, and may require the use of personal protective equipment as necessary. The position will also require the ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
