Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, hardware and molding etc.
- Painting, caulking, joint sealants, sheetrock and water proofing
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames
- Erect, level, and install building framework
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers
- Report any discrepancies in actual field conditions to Foreman
Carpenter responsibilities

Rough carpentersRough carpenters build rough wooden structures, such as concrete forms, scaffolds and temporary frame shelters/walkways, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions. Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard, using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools.
Finish carpentersFinish carpenters build cabinets, display cases, shelves, install running trim, door frames, doors, hardware, and other miscellaneous items that would be a finished product.
