Electrical Foreman

The Electrical Foreman oversees and performs inverter conduit installation activities on utility-scale solar projects. This role leads field crews, coordinates daily construction activities, and ensures that all electrical work, including medium voltage cable installation and backfill operations, is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and electrical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews performing inverter conduit installation on utility-scale solar projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily field activities to ensure work progresses according to project schedules and specifications.
- Oversee medium voltage (MV) cable installation and associated backfill operations, ensuring compliance with design and safety requirements.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and project drawings to guide installation and construction activities.
- Ensure all conduit, wiring, and inverter installations meet project standards, codes, and quality expectations.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and installation issues in the field to minimize downtime and rework.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices, ensuring crews follow all safety procedures and site requirements.
- Coordinate with site leadership and other trades to align work sequences and resource allocation.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance, and provide clear direction and feedback to crew members.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, issues encountered, and materials used as required by the project.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience overseeing inverter conduit installation activities on utility-scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience with medium voltage (MV) cable installation and backfill operations.
- Hands-on experience with conduit and wiring installation in a construction or utility-scale solar environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving electrical and installation issues.
- Utility-scale solar experience.
- Experience leading and coordinating field crews on construction or electrical projects.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to site and industry safety standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in utility-scale solar construction or related large-scale electrical projects.
- Experience working with inverters and associated electrical systems in solar installations.
- Ability to communicate clearly with crew members and site leadership.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities on a busy construction site.

Work Environment
This is an onsite role in a utility-scale solar project environment. Work takes place outdoors on large construction sites, involving exposure to varying weather conditions and active construction activities. The position requires regular work around electrical equipment, inverters, conduit, wiring, and medium voltage systems. Team members typically wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow site safety procedures at all times. Work hours generally align with standard construction shifts, which may include early starts and extended days depending on project needs.

Pay and Benefits
