Access Control and CCTV Technician

Pull, terminate, dress, and label low voltage cabling for access control and CCTV systems

Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment

Install, troubleshoot, service, and program/commission access control systems

Install and configure card readers, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, and control panels

Install door hardware including mag locks, electric strikes, door closers, and related components

Install, service, and troubleshoot CCTV camera systems and associated equipment

Read and interpret access control and CCTV blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Perform system testing, inspections, and quality assurance checks

Work safely on ladders and lifts and be comfortable working at heights

Troubleshoot wiring, connectivity, and system functionality issues

Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites including schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities

Requirements:2+ years of demonstrated experience installing and servicing access control systems

Experience with access control platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, Openpath, AMAG, Software House, or similar systems

Experience installing and troubleshooting CCTV camera systems

Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation

Understanding of low voltage wiring standards and industry best practicesBICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Willingness to travel to job sites throughout the region as needed
