Role Description The Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low-voltage and high-tech systems in commercial and multifamily properties, following company standards and safety guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive maintenance, completing service calls, and documenting work performed. The Service Technician collaborates with project teams, communicates clearly with customers and site contacts, and ensures that work is completed on schedule and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.

This position may require occasional after-hours or weekend work depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including hands-on experience with low-voltage and building technology systems.
• Alarm installer and FAL license.
• Proficient Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Experience in Field Service work, including on-site system installation, testing, and support.
• Solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders.
• General Maintenance capabilities, including routine inspections and preventive care for installed systems.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage systems (e.g., access control, security cameras, networking) is highly beneficial.
• Understanding of safety practices, local codes, and industry standards related to electrical and low-voltage work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and installation plans.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work across sites in the San Antonio Metropolitan Area; willingness to use basic hand and power tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training in electronics, low voltage, or related fields are a plus.
