Aircraft Electrical Technician
The Aircraft Electrician will perform avionics troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications to the avionics and electrical systems of F/A-18 aircraft. These modifications include upgrades to the Radar Package, Communications, and Comm Sec equipment, among other possible upgrades.
Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting on avionics systems and electrical components.
- Install and repair fiber optic cables and harnesses.
- Conduct maintenance and modifications on F/A-18 aircraft, specifically focusing on electrical systems.
- Upgrade and modify radar and communication systems.
- Perform operational level maintenance on fighter jets, including F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and Super Hornet models.
- Experience in avionics systems troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- 4 - 7 years of depot or heavy maintenance experience on aircraft electrical systems.
- F-18 experience highly preferred.
Skills & Qualifications
- Navy Ratings of AE or AT are highly preferred.
- Experience with NAV - magic box is advantageous.
- Eligibility for SECRET clearance is required.
- Must be eligible for a Boeing badge, with no terminations on record.

Work EnvironmentWork in a hangar setting with some duties on the flightline. The environment is mostly indoors but in a non-climate-controlled hangar. Be open to working either the 1st or 2nd shift.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
