Job Description & How to Apply Below

Yellowstone Local is proud to represent Gillette Air Conditioning an industry leader in HVAC services.

If you can troubleshoot HVAC problems without needing someone to hold your hand through every service call, Gillette Air Conditioning wants to put that experience to work.

What's in it for You?
  • Pay range of $25 to $50 per hour, based on experience and technical capability

  • Experienced technicians with advanced commercial HVAC or chiller expertise may qualify toward the top of the range

  • Opportunity for at least 40 hours of work per week

  • Generally Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with scheduling flexibility based on service demand

  • On-call rotation approximately once every four to six weeks for one week

  • On-call means being available to respond when needed, not putting your entire life on hold

  • Steady year-round work with a company that does not rely on a seasonal hire-and-cut staffing model

  • Opportunity to join a service department the company plans to significantly grow

  • Potential opportunities to assist with installation work when needed to help maintain productive weekly hours

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options, plus HSA and life insurance benefits for eligible employees

Why You’ll Love It Here
  • Gillette Air Conditioning is actively expanding its service footprint and needs technicians who already know how to troubleshoot HVAC systems in the field.

  • The company currently has an established service team and is preparing for significant additional growth.

  • Experienced technicians are the priority. If you can handle residential HVAC, light commercial HVAC, advanced commercial equipment, or chillers, there is room for your skill set here.

  • You will not be expected to already know every company software platform. The team selects systems that can be taught and provides training on its processes.

  • The company is focused on keeping strong technicians working throughout the year and creating enough field capacity to serve more customers without sacrificing responsiveness.

Your New Role
  • Work as an HVAC Service Technician based in San Antonio, TX.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including residential, commercial, and more advanced systems based on your experience level.

  • Service equipment such as rooftop units, split systems, package units, heat pumps, air-handling units, controls, chilled-water systems, and related HVAC equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, refrigerant service, testing, and repairs while following EPA, OSHA, company safety, and applicable code requirements.

  • Respond to customers professionally and help the company expand its ability to handle service demand quickly.

  • Participate in the department's rotating on-call schedule.

  • Use Service Trade for applicable field service processes. Previous Service Trade experience is helpful but not required.

  • Assist with HVAC installation work when business needs and your skill set make it appropriate.

  • At least 2 years of commercial HVAC service experience is required, with consideration based on demonstrated knowledge, training, certifications, and ability to independently diagnose and repair HVAC systems

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC trade school, technical training, or apprenticeship completion preferred

  • Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment within your skill and experience level

  • Residential and/or small commercial HVAC troubleshooting experience welcomed

  • Commercial HVAC and chiller experience highly valued for candidates seeking the upper end of the compensation range

  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to respond to scheduled on-call service needs approximately once every four to six weeks

  • Comfortable learning company software and field processes

  • Service Trade experience is a plus but is not required

  • Valid driver's license and EPA Section 608 Universal Certification

  • Ability to pass a drug screening and provide documentation establishing authorization to work in the United States

  • Dependable, responsive, and committed to quality HVAC service

Gillette Air Conditioning is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. #yellow
