Maintenance Technician

BWC is seeking multiple experienced Maintenance Technicians to join a leading steel processing manufacturer in Texas.

This is a hands‑on opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, industrial equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and team leadership
.

This person will lead from the floor working alongside the maintenance team to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently while driving preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Plan, coordinate, and lead maintenance and repair activities for production machinery
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues to minimize downtime and keep production running
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring problems
• Develop and support preventive and predictive maintenance activities
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage spare parts inventory and assist with maintenance budget planning
• Train, mentor, and develop maintenance team members
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and direction to the maintenance department
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure maintenance activities are performed safely
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical documentation, manuals, and work instructions
• Work closely with production and other departments to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize operational disruptions

• 2+ years of electrical maintenance experience required (480V)
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production equipment
• Ability to diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical equipment issues
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, technical documentation, and work instructions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of maintenance issues and drive them through to resolution
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Willingness and ability to work hands‑on in a manufacturing environment

• Previous maintenance leadership or team lead experience
• Experience in a steel processing or heavy manufacturing environment
• Forklift certification
• Crane certification
• Willingness to obtain forklift/crane certifications if needed
• Experience with an ERP system
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Kaizen methodologies
