Aircraft Structural Mechanic
Join our team as a Structures Mechanic, where you will perform heavy structural repairs, maintenance, and modifications on F/A-18 Aircraft. This role involves working with various materials, including composites, titanium, aluminum, and using specialized tools such as carbide drills and piloted reamers.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy structural repairs and maintenance on F/A-18 Aircraft.
- Conduct modifications and depot-level maintenance on aircraft.
- Use carbide drills and piloted reamers for composite and titanium drilling.
- Utilize high-speed steel and cobalt drills for aluminum.
- Execute aircraft modifications and structural repairs.
Essential Skills
- 3 - 8+ years of recent experience in depot-level/heavy checks/modifications on aircraft.
- Experience in equipment overhauls and modifications.
- Proficiency in structural repairs and sheet-metal modifications.
- Familiarity with military aircraft such as F/A-18F, F-18, and Super Hornet.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Background in military, jet, structural, and sheet metal work.
- Experience with the Air Force, Navy, Marines, or Boeing is beneficial.
- Knowledge of corrosion prevention and control on aircraft.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
