We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Chiller and Boiler Technician to support our expanding commercial and institutional service operations. This role is ideal for a technician who is confident in diagnosing, servicing, and optimizing large mechanical systems and who values professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring system reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of:
  Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, Hot water and steam boilers, Pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and hydronic systems, VFDs, controls, and BAS components
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Perform seasonal start-ups, shutdowns, and system optimization.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and performance evaluations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed job records through Service Titan, including photos, notes, materials used, and time entries.
• Communicate effectively with customers, Service Coordinator, and Service Supervisor regarding job status, required materials, and follow-up needs.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA standards, and proper lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and inventory in a professional and organized manner.
• Provide recommendations for system improvements and preventive measures to customers.
• Always represent the company professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with dispatch and supervisors throughout the day.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and safety meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certification in HVAC systems is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
• Demonstrated experience working on:
  Screw, scroll, and centrifugal chillers, Hot water and steam boiler systems, Hydronic piping and pumping systems
• Strong understanding of:
  Electrical systems and controls, Refrigeration theory, Mechanical schematics and drawing
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, reference check, and background check

Work is performed in primarily commercial, industrial, institutional buildings, or other construction areas including outdoors environments with constant exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, metal shavings, moving objects, sharp edges, and temperature extremes.

Physical Demands

• Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate tools and related objects.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items.
• Frequent working at heights and working on ladders.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
