We're seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and mechanically inclined Commercial QA/QC Specialist to support the CPS Energy Commercial Energy Efficiency Program in San Antonio, Texas. This position serves as a local field representative responsible for performing comprehensive quality assurance and quality control inspections on commercial energy efficiency projects, ensuring installed measures meet program requirements, technical specifications, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, possesses strong mechanical aptitude, demonstrates exceptional integrity, and takes a thorough, consistent approach to inspections and documentation.

This role requires an individual who can confidently work independently, communicate effectively with customers and contractors, and provide accurate, detailed observations and reporting. Projects may include inspections of:
Commercial lighting upgrades HVAC maintenance tune-ups Mechanical equipment improvements Air infiltration measures Cool roof installations Building envelope improvements Emerging and innovative energy efficiency technologies and measures Additional commercial energy efficiency projects as introduced through the program

• Conduct quality assurance inspections and audits of commercial energy efficiency projects.
• Perform pre-installation and post-installation verifications to confirm program compliance and proper implementation.
• Inspect lighting, mechanical, HVAC, building envelope, air infiltration, cool roof, and other energy efficiency measures.
• Evaluate project installations against program standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Document inspection findings accurately, completely, and consistently.
• Maintain detailed notes, records, photographs, and supporting documentation for all inspections.
• Verify field data and project information entered into company databases and reporting platforms.
• Communicate inspection findings, observations, concerns, and recommendations to program staff.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, and trade allies.
