The Front Desk Associate (Student Position) provides a welcoming and safe environment for all patrons of sports and wellness facilities, through high-level customer service. The Front Desk Associate reports to the Assistant Director of Sports and Wellness.

This applicant pool will remain online for the  academic year and will be used to hire interested students as needed.

This is a student position open to current UIW students who may be hired through the Federal Work-Study Program.

• Front Desk staff are responsible for maintaining a secured facility via swiping in all students, faculty, staff and community members into the building.
• Front desk staff members perform membership sales, registrations, equipment rentals, and check-outs at the Wellness Center, Natatorium, and Fencing Center.
• Enthusiastically greets each patron promptly and professionally to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the facility.
• Answers phone in a professional and courteous manner and uses proper phone greeting techniques and good customer service.
• Provide assistance to patrons’ requests along with inquiries about facility operations, programming and policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Current full‑time student at the University of the Incarnate Word

None.

• Working knowledge of fitness facilities, equipment, and tools.
• One or more years of work experience in the fitness and wellness industry.
• One or more years of work in customer service industry.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

None.
