Leidos is seeking a Cultural Advisor fluent in Russian, based at Lackland AFB, TX. The ideal candidate is a native or heritage speaker with deep cultural knowledge of Russian‑speaking populations across Europe and the Indo‑Pacific regions.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze, assess, translate, and communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non‑verbally.
- Draft requirements documents, correspondence, and standard operating procedures in accordance with local policies.
- Explain complex technical procedures and processes clearly and accurately to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the audience.
- Prepare and present briefings to military, government, and intelligence community stakeholders as directed.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to conduct open‑source research, producing behavioral analysis of target audiences, social network analysis, and foreign media analysis to generate reports on trends, behaviors, and geopolitical events.
- Identify information operations opportunities and produce predictive recommendations.
- Evaluate classified and unclassified critical and sensitive information to understand and characterize target audience behavior and trends.
- Minimum ILR score level of 3 in reading, listening, and speaking, verified through language testing.
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree and 10 years of experience, or equivalent experience (no less than 4 years) in lieu of a degree.
- Active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Native or heritage Russian speaker; native ability to read, write, and understand standard Russian grammar and writing style.
- Strong verbal communication skills in the Russian standard dialect.
- Ability to understand and interpret idiomatic expressions in the Russian standard dialect.
- In‑depth understanding of Russian culture and society.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Notes).
- Experience living in Russia and/or the Russian‑speaking countries of Eastern Europe.
- Occasional short‑term travel within the Washington Metropolitan area.
Pay Range: $92,300.00 – $.
