Regional Adoption Coordinator
The Regional Adoption Coordinator counsels and aids children and families through the adoption process.

- Provide case management services to children and families to facilitate the adoption process.
- Conduct home studies on prospective adoptive families.
- Facilitate placement of children in adoptive homes.
- Participate in assessment, service delivery, placement, consummation, and coordinates post adoptive services.
- Assist families in compliance with licensing/regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement Adoption Service Plans in conjunction with foster parents and clients, as well as other professionals involved in the case.
- Develop Court Report and coordinates with the family's attorney to assure appropriate paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Maintain regular contact with family and child and monitors psychological, mental, emotional, physical, and environmental well-being.
- Help families develop a therapeutic milieu conducive to healthy child development. Deliver direct therapeutic intervention to child and family.
- Provide resource information and referrals to community organizations regarding adoption.
- Provide crisis intervention to prevent escalation of high-risk behavior, relapse, hospitalization, placement disruption, and other negative outcomes.
- Provide consultation for foster parents, adoptive parents, biological parents, respite providers, childcare staff, and other caregivers as indicated.
- Maintain accurate and complete case notes, billing documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation according to licensing, accreditation, and agency standards.
- Consult with medical doctors or other specialists and/or treatment team members concerning treatment plans and amends plan as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, seminars, and professional conferences.
- Prepare monthly billing for adoption services.
- Review client files on a quarterly basis to assess service plan implementation, progress towards desired outcomes, and future appropriateness of service plan.
- Maintain a manageable caseload to ensure outcomes and practice requirements are met while taking into consideration the level of care of clients served.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or in related field required. At least 1 year of experience in child welfare or human services.
