Job SummaryThe Program Manager/Life Skills Coordinator organizes and manages programming in accordance with the mission and goals of rapid rehousing intervention for young adults with experiences of foster care, domestic violence, and homelessness. This role manages, coordinates, and administers activities related to life skills, education, and employment by developing and implementing procedures, processes, services, and systems. The position serves as liaison with community partners and other program staff to ensure cooperation, efficiencies, and accomplishment of stated objectives.
Note: This is a grant‑funded position that may be extended or shortened based on availability of funds and/or work.
Core Responsibilities- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or in a related field.
- One (1) year of related work experience, including training, development and facilitation.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
- Master's degree in social work (MSW) or related graduate coursework in progress.
- Experience in a program supporting young adults with experiences of foster care and homelessness.
- Experience developing and facilitating workshops, curricula and training for young adults focused on life skills, employment, financial literacy and/or independent living.
- Experience with funded research projects.
- Professional experience working with survivors of domestic violence.
- Experience with landlord navigation and local Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
- Experience working in a state child welfare agency.
- Bilingual, Spanish and English.

- Office Environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business‑related events. Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
