Start and end times may vary. Position requires flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including one to two evenings per week (up to 8:00 p.m.) and rotating weekends, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Department Director, the Clinical Support Manager will serve Probation staff working in institutions at Youth Transition Campus (YTC) and East Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility (EMJDF), to give them support including individual & group consultation and linkage to community resources. The Clinical Support Manager will be a leader in the development and enhancement of a trauma-informed environment and team.

The Clinical Support Manager will also support clinicians working with youth on probation in custody and in the community with mental health and trauma informed services, bolstering positive youth development, and reducing recidivism and reliance on incarceration for non-compliance with probation terms. The Clinical Support Manager also serves as a link to the Program Coordinator and to the Clinical Director in their support of SBCS staff working with Probation youth.

DUTIES:
  • Provide development, support and services to Probation staff who work in institutions at the Youth Transition Campus (YTC) at 2801 Meadow Lark Dr., San Diego, CA 92123 and East Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility (EMJDF) at 446 Alta Rd, San Diego, CA 92158.
  • Establish trusting, reliable, and respectful relationships with Probation officers and staff.
