Senior Solutions Engineer – Capital Group

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will build, maintain, and refine high-performance, scalable systems by collaborating across development, infrastructure, and product teams—from conception to completion. You will recommend how to imagine, develop, and launch solutions with transformative power.

From digital and cloud solutions to original and emerging technology products and services, you will address challenges at their core, developing products, services, and experiences that disrupt markets, generate value, and positively impact millions of lives.

This role is deeply hands‑on. A core responsibility is evaluating the application portfolio and identifying the future architecture by rationalizing applications and technologies. You will actively use tools such as Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, and similar AI development environments—integrating them into your daily workflow and then hardening and operationalizing them as first‑class engineering capabilities within the team and broader organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least seven years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java; familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Type Script, or Vue.js) and proven expertise in building RESTful APIs and working with AWS.
• A thoughtful approach to software engineering practices, enabling a future‑ready, high‑quality, and responsive code base.
• An agile mindset and passion for designing product user experiences that enable rapid business growth.
• Foundation of technical ability, business acumen, leadership skills, and desire to provide knowledge transfer.
• Technology vendor management experience; technical direction, guidance, and oversight of vendor solutions and integrations.
• Strong knowledge of modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, Git Ops, cloud‑native platforms, and automated governance; regarded as a thought leader in engineering discipline practices.
• Hands‑on, solution‑level expertise with tools such as Harness.io (pipeline orchestration, deployment strategies, governance policies).
• Practitioner of AI‑assisted development—using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Git Hub Copilot daily.
• Expertise in provisioning and optimizing cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform to ensure automated, secure, and reliable deployments across environments.

San Antonio Base Salary Range: $131,003 – $209,605

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, you will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, Capital’s annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan with a 15% contribution from Capital.
