Role

Summary

We are seeking an elite, high-velocity Senior Full-Stack Engineer who thrives on writing clean, high-performance code and wants to champion technical excellence across our development lifecycle. This is a hands‑on technical role: you will remain in the codebase 70% of the time, driving rapid feature delivery using .NET 10 and Vue 2/3.

The remaining 30% of your time will be spent mentoring team members, establishing engineering standards, and leveraging Git Lab to optimize our CI/CD pipelines and code review workflows. There are no direct reports or administrative people‑management duties.

A key immediate initiative for this role will be helping architect and execute our frontend modernization: migrating legacy Vue 2 modules styling built on Bootstrap over to a modern Vue 3 architecture utilizing Tailwind CSS.

This role will be operating on a hybrid schedule with one to two (1‑2) telework days a week on‑site out of San Antonio, TX (Ft. Sam Houston). Due to the nature of this role, it is not eligible for sponsorship. The expected pay rate is $50/hr to $80/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Build and ship high-performance features rapidly across the entire stack.
  • Drive the migration of legacy Vue 2 / Bootstrap interfaces to modern Vue 3 / Tailwind CSS components.
  • Develop robust, scalable APIs utilizing next-generation .NET 10 features.
  • Lead code quality efforts through constructive, thorough Git Lab Merge Request (MR) reviews.
  • Mentoring team members.
  • Establish best practices for Git branching strategies and MR hygiene.
  • Maintain and optimize Git Lab CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployments.
  • Guide database schema design and optimize database query performance.
  • Establish frontend (Vue 3/Tailwind) and backend (.NET 10) coding standards.
  • Communicate continually with the Senior team to understand requirements of a project and to make sure that the work done meets such requirements.
  • Craft and fine tune the UI of websites that you develop; make decisions on the fly to make the UI better.
  • Check your work and make it work across platforms and devices using cross compatibility tools.
Requirements
  • Frontend Mastery:
Deep expertise in Vue.js (experience handling Vue 2 to Vue 3 upgrades is highly desirable) and CSS layouts.
  • Modern Styling:
Experience building responsive interfaces using Tailwind CSS (and transitioning legacy apps away from Bootstrap).
  • Backend Expertise:
Expert-level knowledge of C# and the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET 8/9/10).
  • Git Lab Ecosystem:
Strong proficiency with Git Lab, including writing .gitlab-ci.yml pipelines, managing environments, and leveraging MR workflows.
  • Application-Level SQL (No DBA required):
Strong command of database design principles for application development. Must be highly proficient in writing complex SQL queries, creating efficient views, database schema design, and query optimization/indexing.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts, project updates, questions, and blockers clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented development environment, partnering with developers, project managers, business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, with a focus on coding, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and reviews to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Education & Experience
  • Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience/certifications.
