We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our users. Asking questions, failing fast, and writing maintainable code are at the center of what we do while building applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. Our team is dedicated to mentoring and supporting our colleagues, and we believe that everyone has the potential to grow and excel.

Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a great team.

• Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications
• JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review
• Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences
• Help define and interact with REST based API’s
• Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support
• Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing
• Other duties as assigned

This position allows for partial telework.

Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.

At least five (5) years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; three (3) years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years relevant experience.

• Five plus (5+) years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software
• Comfortable working on a
  * nix command line
• Self-motivation;
  Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly
• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2 days per week at our San Antonio office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed

• Current Clearances:
  Active Secret or Top Secret clearances are a strong plus
• Previous experience with a Data Lake/Warehouse is a plus
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer

Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $150,000 - $275,000.
