Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Backend Developer

The Software Engineer role at Talogy enables the development of new features of the technologies that we provide to our customers. Software Engineers work very closely with others across the engineering teams to understand what has been scoped, develop new features of existing .NET based based applications with a polyglot approach to storage, and integrate with internal and third-party systems. This role adds significant value to the operation of Talogy’s business, performing crucial work in maintaining our people-focused, quality brand.

This is a full-time permanent role, with flexible hours around core office availability Monday to Friday. The role can be performed remotely, with occasional travel required for meetings, events and workshops.

The daily impact of this role is characterized by (though not limited to) the following core skills and tasks:

• Develop enterprise class & scalable web based applications.
• Enhance and support existing web application functionality which includes new feature development and resolving complex code issues as reported.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, product managers and engineers to build modern, scalable, user friendly and functionally robust web applications in an agile environment.
• Participate in all aspects of SDLC including analysis, requirements, design, implementation, testing and support.
• Use principles, guidelines and best practices as defined.
• Reviewing and analysing feature requirements.
• Maintaining and creating product knowledge documentation.
• Researching and embrace new techniques and technology to improve technology.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Focus on quality throughout with strong unit testing.

The following qualifications and experiences are considered foundational requirements for this role:

• Education to Bachelor’s degree level in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in software engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience with modern software development languages and front technologies, e.g. .NET / C#, React, Angular etc.
• Experience with designing and creating APIs is desirable.
• Experience with relational databases like MSSQL.
• Experience with non‑relational databases like Azure Storage.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure desirable.
• Experience with Angular, .NET, GIT and JIRA desirable.
• Experience with microservices architecture and accessibility work (specifically WCAG) desirable.
