Applicants must have a valid driver’s license for this position. You may need to obtain a Motor Vehicle Report from your license state of issuance if that state does not provide MVRs to third parties.

A Texas driver’s license must be obtained in order to maintain eligibility to drive on behalf of Spec's per the insurance company. Texas requires all new resident drivers to obtain a Texas license within 90 days of residing in the state.

• Maintain uniform standard, as detailed in the Employee Manual, for all worked hours.
• Maintain a clear driving record.
• Maintain safe driving practices and speeds.
• Maintain a neat and orderly vehicle.
• Move supplies and equipment when needed to ensure efficient storage space in delivery vehicle.
• Receive and verify contents of all shipments to be delivered.
• Make notes on invoices showing variances and products damaged during store deliveries.
• Return products damaged during deliveries, including TABC tax stamps.
• Maintain driver route sheet after every stop.
• Ensure compliance with standardized filing system for store-to-store transfer paperwork and pick‑ups.
• May be required to assist in unloading based on location needs.
• Receive payment for deliveries and verify amounts accurately.
• Inform manager of inventory issues or discrepancies with invoices encountered on route.
• Provide feedback to management regarding issues with delivery vans and box trucks.
• Carry out directives of management efficiently.
• Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail.
• Practice teamwork and cooperation with others.
• Create and maintain strong professional relationships with our customers.
• Provide superb customer service.
• Possess time‑management skills and be able to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to manage stress in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
• Communicate with and understand team members and guests. See invoices, product, payment methods, and signage.
• Be able to use industrial machines to move full pallets that weigh up to 2400 pounds.
• Other projects or job duties assigned by management.
• Attendance and timeliness are required. This is not a job you can do from home.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

State law says you must be over the age of 21 to work  requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In other words, here is the technical stuff:

• At least 1–2 years of driving experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; experience may substitute education.

• Read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos.
• Talk and communicate with coworkers and guests.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator.
• Counting inventory and other numerical tasks.

• Responsible, reliable, and committed to providing excellent service.
• Patient, friendly, and outgoing personality.
• Self‑starter with a strong work ethic who completes assignments promptly and seeks additional tasks.

• Full Time: 40 hours per week. Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week.
• Part Time: up to 25 hours per week.
• Working outside of your scheduled time without Store Manager approval is prohibited.

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Know when to brace for weather conditions.

• Valid Class C driver’s license.

The job regularly requires standing, walking, or bending; use of hands and fingers to handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; talking and hearing. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with proper tools. Must also be able to use an industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Drive in all types of weather. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. The environment is fun and positive for staff.
