Position Overview
Our Warehouse Associates help achieve world‑class store performance while contributing to and supporting the overall branch strategy, performance, and growth. Shipper/Receivers receive orders, process outgoing shipments, and help maintain the overall organization of the branch.
* This position will require daily warehouse duties when not driving*
- Load and unload products for deliveries
- Make deliveries and ensure product arrives undamaged
- Operate vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Perform job duties within our safety guidelines.
- Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lifting and managing heavy objects
- Working in all weather conditions (drivers must be prepared to work in hot and cold temperatures).
- Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the store and other general duties while not driving.
- Receive purchase orders and transfers and receive inter‑company transfers
- Process outgoing shipments of products via UPS or other delivery methods
- Document and resolve discrepancies related to transfers and purchase orders
- Stock product in correct warehouse location
- Process customer orders and provide technical advice
- Pull orders and prepare loads for delivery to customer
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Delivery driving if needed (NON CDL)
- Operate NON CDL Flatbed and/or Transit Vans
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Valid Driver's License
- Driving experience, preferred
- Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records
- Ability to perform regular bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
- Landscape, Nursery, or Irrigation product knowledge is helpful
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
