Job Description
The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for all logistics functions within the assigned project(s). They develop standard operating procedures and work instructions applicable across the enterprise and for individual projects, manage multiple Logistics Managers assigned to the same projects, and coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Purchasing, Expediting and Material Management. They develop the Logistics Management Plan and Transportation Plans for assigned project(s), and devise staffing plans to accomplish logistics functions within budgetary constraints.
The position will be based in San Antonio, TX or at job sites as needed, with 30% domestic and international travel required.
Interfacing with multiple departments within the enterprise, partners, and clients will be required. Ability to work closely with clients and build strong relationships based on performance and trust.
Responsibilities- Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions specific to assigned projects.
- Manage multiple logistics managers at assigned project locations, including writing project logistics plans, transportation plans, preparing staffing plans, and budget estimates.
- Create and present project logistics reports to internal and external audiences.
- Develop proposal costs and plans.
- Interface with logistics providers and internal managers.
- Interface with procurement, expediting, materials management, and the project team.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university (preferred).
- 5–7 years of transportation‑related experience (preferred).
- Technical acumen required.
