Job description:

GH Logistics is a performance-driven, asset-based transportation company with a growing national fleet operating across local, regional, and OTR networks.

We run on structure, accountability, and precision — every truck, driver, and route has a purpose.

About the Role We are a performance-driven, asset-based transportation company operating a growing fleet anchored in dedicated freight. This is a Fleet Dispatcher role built around one mission: being the driver's first point of contact and the person who keeps our trucks moving.

You are the hub between our drivers and the operation — the driver manager who owns the relationship and handles the day-to-day, and the driver scheduler who builds and adjusts the daily dispatch so no truck sits and no load runs late. This is a boots-on-the-ground, in-office role. When a driver has a problem, you are who they call. When the schedule needs to flex, you are who makes it work.

Success in this role means execution without excuses — drivers supported, schedules tight, equipment moving, issues solved before they become fires.

Core Responsibilities Driver Management (first point of contact)
Be the primary daily contact for an assigned group of drivers — the person they trust and call first.

Own driver issues day to day: schedule questions, equipment, routing, pay questions routed correctly, and general support.

Build relationships that keep drivers satisfied, informed, and retained. A driver who feels managed and supported stays.

Driver Scheduling & Dispatch Build and manage the daily driver schedule across local, regional, and dedicated lane assignments.

Assign loads and coordinate trucks with precision and urgency — the right driver on the right run, on time.

Adjust the schedule in real time as freight, HOS, and equipment realities change.

Execution & Uptime Keep trucks moving — eliminate idle time, cover every scheduled run, and close gaps before they cost us.

Track equipment and trailer positioning; coordinate rotation so assets are where they need to be.

Compliance Support Ensure daily check-in protocols, ELD readiness, and routing instructions are followed.

Keep drivers on the right side of HOS and DOT requirements.

Risk Mitigation Proactively spot and solve issues before they escalate — HOS conflicts, misrouted trucks, idle equipment, coverage gaps.

Collaborative Execution Work alongside leadership, recruiting, and the brokerage/ops team to cover shifts and resolve issues in real time.

Operational Logging Maintain shift-level documentation, driver notes, trailer counts, and escalation logs for senior review.

What You'll Be Measured OnDriver satisfaction and retention within your assigned group

On-time dispatch and schedule adherence

Tractor and trailer uptime; reduction of idle-asset time Response time to driver issues and operational incidents

Communication clarity and escalation speed

Adherence to SOPs, protocols, and dispatch audit standards

Qualifications2+ years in asset-based dispatch, driver management, fleet coordination, or driver scheduling

Experience with ELD platforms and routing/dispatch software

Strong relationship skills — drivers respect you and want to work with you Clear, assertive communicator who stays calm and decisive under pressure

Comfortable in a live, fast-moving operational setting

Schedule flexibility, including weekend and high-volume window availability

Why This Role Matters This is not a call-center dispatch seat. This is driver-centric fleet operations — you are the face of GH to our drivers and the engine of our daily execution. If your communication is slow, equipment sits and drivers get frustrated. If you manage and schedule with discipline and urgency, drivers stay, trucks run, and freight moves on time.

Job Type: Full-time Benefits:

Dental insurance

Health insurance

Paid time off Vision insurance

Application Question(s):

What ELD platforms and TMS tools have you worked with? How did you use them for planning?
