Ambassador ​/ Ice Cream Truck Driver

$11.00 - $13.00 per hour, plus tips (this is a tip-frequent role — many Ambassadors earn well above base pay once tips are factored in)

Shifts run mid-day through late evening, typically 6–8 hours per shift. The truck operates up to 7 days a week, so there's flexibility to build a schedule that fits your life — whether that's a couple of evenings a week or a full 5-day schedule.

Alsies San Antonio West is hiring Ambassadors — both full-time and part-time — to drive and operate our mobile treat truck, Treat Force One, across San Antonio's far west side. You'll be the person kids run outside for — driving to scheduled stops, running the service window, handling payments, and making sure every interaction is quick, friendly, and a little bit magic.

Nothing here gets scooped — every treat is prepackaged, so the job is about speed and a great window-side moment, not soft-serve mechanics.

• Safely drive and operate the company truck on scheduled routes
• Set up and break down the truck at each stop
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash/card transactions
• Provide fast, friendly customer service at the window — you're the whole experience, not just the transaction
• Keep the truck clean, stocked, and looking sharp
• Follow food safety and vehicle safety procedures

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Must pass a background check and driving record (MVR) check
• Reliable transportation to and from the truck's pickup location
• Ability to stand, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a mobile/outdoor environment
• Availability for 6–8 hour shifts, mid-day through late evening

• Someone who can be a walking dose of happiness — genuine smiles, joy, and enthusiasm that make people feel like something good just showed up in their day
• The ability to read a situation and adjust — some stops need speed, some need a little extra patience
• A pleasant, steady demeanor even when a shift gets long or a stop gets busy
• Genuine care for people, not just good customer service manners
• Common sense and good judgment — you'll often be the only person on-site making the call
• Integrity — showing up when you say you will, handling cash honestly, doing the right thing when no one's watching
• Paid training, including your food handler certification on Day 1
• Flexible scheduling — full-time and part-time both available
• Tips on top of hourly pay in a role where tipping is common
• Small, close-knit team — you'll know the owner by name, not by org chart
