Job duties include:

• Operate Class A CDL vehicles on local delivery routes
• Transport freight using dry van trailers
• Complete live unload and drop-and-hook deliveries
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route and delivery updates

Education requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required depending on the position

Experience requirements:

• Safe driving history with a strong commitment to defensive driving practices
• Ability to inspect vehicles, identify safety concerns, and complete required documentation
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and proper cargo securement when applicable
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules
• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous professional driving, delivery, transportation, or logistics experience
• Experience operating commercial vehicles, delivery trucks, box trucks, or tractor-trailers
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, routing software, or transportation documentation

Physical capabilities:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a vehicle
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday
• Ability to lift, move, or secure freight and materials when required by the assignment
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and work safely in varying weather and road conditions

Driving requirements:

• Valid CDL-A license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)
