Job Summary:

Responsible for fueling refrigerated trailers and monitoring diesel fuel levels to support efficient transportation operations. Maintains accurate trailer, inventory, and fueling records, verifies trailer contents and purchase order information, and ensures yard integrity through proper trailer tracking and system updates.

• Checks and monitors fuel levels to maintain adequate fuel levels
• Refuels refrigerated trailers with diesel fuel
• Completes daily fueling list requirements
• Maintains integrity of the yard (location of trailers, accuracy of, keys into system)
• Verifies and updates trailer contents and purchase order numbers
• Annotates filling level of trailer content

Works under moderate supervision on mostly routine tasks but may deviate from or interpret standard procedures based on knowledge gained through learned experience.

• Minimum age 21 (mandatory)

• 2+ years of experience generally expected

• Ability to pass a DOT physical and all driver qualification, including applicable H-E-B CDL qualification guidelines
• Must exhibit excellent safety record and have no moving violation, tickets, accidents within the past three (3) years
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High school, vocational, or associate's degree

• Must have a valid Texas Class C driver’s license
• Must have a Texas Class B-CDL driver’s license
• Must be able to obtain Hazardous Endorsements (HAZMAT)

• Work up to 70 hours per week in accordance with the DOT regulations
• Regularly lift, sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, and bend
• Occasionally lift 25 – 75 lbs
• Pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen, verification of work history, and meet all DOT driver qualifications
