IT Asset & Inventory Specialist

Job Summary

This is an exciting and fulfilling opportunity with Zachry Group’s IT Asset Management Team. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to perform the functions of a Material Warehouse Specialist.

• Daily tasks involve fulfilling inventory IT requests from both on‑site and from remote offices.
• Create shipping labels and package shipping IT equipment (servers, laptops, desktops, etc.).
• Perform basic inventory duties: asset tagging, scanning equipment, and restocking the warehouse.
• Process all incoming IT equipment received in the inventory database.
• Set up and test new and old hardware (laptops, MiFi, monitors, docking stations, desktops, etc.).
• Perform weekly audits against the internal inventory database and on‑site warehouse.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse (break down boxes, discard trash).
• Process orders within lead time to maintain on‑hand stockroom levels.
• Obtain an in‑depth knowledge of all supported hardware within the inventory warehouse.
• Properly disposition IT equipment using the established process.
• Ensure the inventory database is accurately maintained and tracked.
• Support various teams: telecom, server, desktop support, and network.

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 10–50 pounds; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
