Summary
The Mailing and Warehouse Associate, Mailing & Receiving Services will be responsible for all loading dock operations and the completion of the necessary activities related to the processing of incoming and outgoing mail for the entire organization. This includes loading and unloading trucks, preparing outgoing materials, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The candidate will also serve as a backup to all mailroom services.
Responsibilities- Process company‑wide correspondence accurately and on time to support departmental objectives, including state‑ and federally mandated handling guidelines.
- Comply with Postal Regulations.
- Retrieve mail from the post office daily at designated times.
- Maintain delivery van vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues to the Manager.
- Provide messenger service as required.
- Receive, process and distribute all incoming materials and supplies to the appropriate recipients in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparing reports and correspondence for internal and external customers within the department.
- Assemble and distribute information such as warehouse inventory, destruction‑order requests, and job‑processing requests.
- Process outgoing materials and supplies as needed.
- Supervise loading‑dock operations.
- Facilitate receiving and unloading of goods in the warehouse, including unloading trucks, checking pallets, and attaching identifying tags to containers.
- Validate inventory by comparing computed counts to physical stock and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and pack all outgoing materials and equipment.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide back‑up support to the mailroom as required.
- Open, scan, and distribute all incoming mail and packages to the appropriate departments via tracking software.
- Comply with CDPHP Corporate Compliance Policy and related laws, rules, and regulations, and report suspected violations through the appropriate channels.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Previous shipping/receiving experience (preferred).
- Previous warehouse experience (preferred).
- High level of technical competence with PC and Windows (required).
- In‑depth knowledge of Excel (preferred).
- Working knowledge of Pitney Bowes software and equipment (required).
- Valid New York State driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and adequate automobile insurance (required).
- Ability to lift 70pounds or more (required).
- Knowledge of the Capital District area (preferred).
Compensation Range:
Minimum $20.00per hour – Maximum $26.90per hour. The posted salary range is one component of our total rewards package, which may also include group health and/or dental insurance, a retirement plan, a wellness program, paid time off, and paid holidays.
