Responsibilities & Job Summary
As a Distribution Partner II, you'll work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment and become part of a highly functioning Warehouse Team. You'll watch out for each other, work to meet common goals, and share a fulfilling physically demanding work experience. You'll perform general Warehouse Operations tasks and learn about multiple products and areas across H‑EB by selecting orders, stocking, or operating a forklift.
These learning opportunities will serve as building blocks for many other jobs in a potential career path for you at H‑EB.
- Warehouse Operations:
Select cases of products and organize them on pallets to send to H‑EB stores. - Prioritize accuracy and quality in work assignments.
- Perform work tasks safely, comply with instructions, and proactively address safety issues.
- Assist other partners by sharing knowledge of technical matters, facility‑specific knowledge, processes, and procedures.
- Complete work assignments timely, using time efficiently and productively in support of facility goals for on‑time trailer release.
- Ensure work meets individual, team, and facility productivity goals as applicable.
- Operate equipment per Standard Operating Procedures to prevent damage.
- Takes actions to keep the work environment clean and well‑maintained.
- Full case, Pick to Light:
Select orders for shipment in an organized, clean, accurate, and damage‑free manner; properly mark and/or tag orders with defined shipment information.
- Properly and accurately put up / bring down product from assigned slots; complete assignments in an organized, clean, accurate and damage‑free manner.
- Properly load in an organized, clean, accurate, and damage‑free manner.
- Safely manage end‑to‑end process flow from reusable store asset to completed store orders within an automated system, contributing to a clean, organized environment.
- Induct product into the automated system and resolve errors.
- Properly unload trailers and induct product into automated system.
- Verify Product (UPC, pack size, description) and quantity against purchase order to receive into inventory.
- Open master cases; verify product against assigned location; fill selection lanes for pick‑to‑light selection.
- Work Experience:
Experience working in a fast‑paced environment. - Experience working in a physically demanding job (a plus).
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Basic Math skills (+, –, *, /); reading and writing skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team‑based environment; positively promote change.
- Ability to operate machines or equipment safely and independently.
- Ability to learn and understand H‑EB in‑house systems.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Dependability; commitment to safety.
- Education:
HS Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Lift, stand, walk, squat for extended periods.
- Repetitively lift up to 60 lbs during a shift.
- Work in a cold environment, if assigned to a Refrigerated (34°) or Frozen (–10°) facility.
- Work extended shifts and fluctuating hours and days, including weeks, nights, holidays.
