We are seeking a highly driven Inventory Control Lead to own inventory accuracy and drive operational excellence across our warehouse and production environment. This role is accountable for establishing best-in-class inventory control processes, eliminating discrepancies at the root cause, and ensuring the integrity of all inventory transactions across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who combines strong analytical capability with process discipline and a continuous improvement mindset.
This individual will play a critical role in improving service levels, reducing waste, and supporting broader operational transformation.
- Own end‑to‑end inventory accuracy across all categories (raw, packaging, finished goods), ensuring adherence to cycle count and reconciliation standards
- Design, implement, and lead the cycle count program, including scheduling, execution, and variance resolution
- Ensure strict compliance with FIFO/FEFO, Lot control, and traceability requirements
- Oversee inbound and outbound inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and system integrity
- Lead root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies using structured problem‑solving methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Pareto analysis)
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues
- Identify process gaps across receiving, storage, picking, and shipping and drive improvements
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that reinforce inventory discipline
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all transactions within ERP/WMS systems
- Analyze inventory trends, adjustments, and variances to identify systemic issues
- Develop and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting for leadership
- Drive data transparency to support better operational decision‑making
- Partner with warehouse, production, QA, and procurement teams to resolve inventory‑related issues
- Train and coach team members on inventory control best practices and standards
- Support audit readiness, including traceability and recall processes
- Act as the subject matter expert for inventory control within the facility
- Support warehouse operations during critical periods to ensure continuity and performance
- Reinforce 5S and workplace organization standards across the facility
- Inventory Accuracy: ≥ 99% across all categories
- Cycle Count Compliance: ≥ 98% completion to schedule
- Inventory Adjustments:
Reduction in adjustment value and frequency over time - Shrink / Loss:
Measurable reduction in unexplained variance - Dock‑to‑Stock Time:
Improved speed and accuracy of inbound processing - Aging & Obsolescence:
