Director of Operations

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Operations (Warehouse & Delivery) for a leading beverage distribution client. This role will oversee all warehouse and delivery operations at a key San Antonio location, leading multi-shift teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on operator and strategic leader who can drive performance through people, process, and data. This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across inventory, fulfillment, and delivery while fostering a strong culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about developing teams and optimizing operations at scale.

• Oversee all warehouse and delivery operations in San Antonio
• Lead day and night shift teams to ensure safety, productivity, and accuracy
• Manage receiving, inventory control, storage, replenishment, and outbound shipping
• Oversee delivery operations, ensuring efficiency and high customer service levels
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, and safety regulations
• Monitor and improve KPIs (productivity, accuracy, service, efficiency)
• Maintain warehouse facility, layout, and equipment standards
• Recruit, train, and develop managers, supervisors, and associates
• Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability and teamwork
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and Operations leadership
• Use data to drive continuous improvement and operational decisions
• Balance strategic leadership with hands‑on operational oversight

• 10+ years of warehouse and distribution operations leadership within food & beverage, distribution, or CPG environments
• Experience leading multi-shift operations (day & night teams)
• Proven leadership of large teams (managers, supervisors, associates)
• Experience managing end-to-end warehouse AND delivery operations within food & beverage, distribution, or CPG environments
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, receiving, replenishment, and outbound shipping
• Understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations and compliance standards
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Strong ability to track and improve KPIs, productivity, and operational performance
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams Net Suite experience (preferred ERP/WMS)
• Experience managing combined warehouse + delivery/logistics teams
• Background driving continuous improvement / process optimization initiatives
• Strong experience building team culture and engagement across shifts
