The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for actively leading and supporting all warehouse operations across packaging, dock, and freezer areas, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping activities. This role requires a hands-on presence on the floor, working closely with team members throughout three shifts to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate execution of daily operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will provide continuous guidance, coaching, and operational support to Warehouse Specialists while assisting the Manager in directing personnel, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
In addition to warehouse leadership, the Warehouse Supervisor will play an active role in supporting the Supply team by assisting with ERP system activities and inventory and provide coverage during PTO, emergencies, and operational gaps across all shifts. This position requires strong collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, Quality teams to maintain smooth material flow, resolve operational challenges in real time, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The Supervisor is expected to lead by example by promoting safety, GMP compliance, inventory accuracy, and high housekeeping standards while remaining fully engaged in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager to supervise daily shipping, receiving, and material-handling operations across the packaging warehouse, shipping dock, and freezer warehouse.
- Prioritize and assign daily tasks to ensure all scheduled pickups, deliveries, and internal material movements are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate daily workload and priorities with the logistics team to ensure feasible and accurate shipping schedules. Assist the logistics team as needed with order picking, driver paperwork, pickup scheduling, and sample requests.
- Oversee accurate receipt of raw materials into the inventory system, including correct quantities, lot codes, and expiration dates. Ensure accuracy, organization, and proper status control of finished goods in the freezer warehouse (available for sale, Quality Hold, R&D Hold).
- Develop, maintain, and train warehouse safety, housekeeping, and equipment standards, including proper operation of material-handling equipment with a strong focus on food safety.
- Support the Warehouse Manager with onboarding, scheduling, recruitment, coverage coordination, and performance and management as required.
- Understand and train teammates on Bill of Lading, tallies, packing lists, and certificates of analysis to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or unloaded and proactively identify and transport products to deliver to production.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding inventory discrepancies, shipping delays, shortages, or operational concerns.
- Ability to drive forklift (Deep reach, stand-up and sit-down).
- Cover PTO, UPT, emergency needs for Warehouse Specialists.
Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and plant operations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience supervising warehouse personnel in a fast-paced operation in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling operations within a food production environment plus 2 years of leadership experience in warehouse supervision.
- Hands-on experience with inventory systems or ERP transactions, including receiving, material movements, and shipping documentation.
- Experience working in freezer, refrigerated, or temperature-controlled warehouse environments.
- Forklift experience (deep reach, stand up and sit down) as well as safety procedure knowledge, including proper load handling, speed limits, and forklift maintenance, and warehouse machinery experience.
- Previous experience working with an ERP and / or WM Systems.
