Forklift Operator
This role is responsible for safely and efficiently receiving, processing, storing, and shipping inventory in alignment with system orders. The position involves operating a forklift to load and unload trucks and sea containers, organizing incoming stock, and ensuring all orders are shipped in full and accurately documented.
Responsibilities- Receive, process, and store inventory according to orders in the warehouse management system.
- Load and unload trucks and sea containers using a forklift and appropriate material handling tools.
- Organize incoming stock and ensure inventory is stored in the correct locations.
- Ensure all outgoing orders are prepared accurately and shipped in full, including transfers between locations.
- Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise to prevent damage during handling and transport.
- Track and document exact shipment quantities, conditions, and arrival and departure times.
- Report any missing, extra, or damaged merchandise promptly to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Record and manage merchandise items placed on hold, aged inventory, damaged goods, and similar categories.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other merchandise management tools safely and efficiently.
- Enter data accurately into inventory and logistics software programs to support real-time tracking.
- Follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines while working in production and storage areas.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily shipping, receiving, and inventory targets.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a forklift driver, preferably within a warehouse setting.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts for loading, unloading, and transporting materials in warehouse and production environments.
- Basic computer skills to enter and manage data in inventory and logistics software programs.
- Previous warehouse experience, including shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in freezer environments with temperatures ranging from 40 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with merchandise management tools such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Attention to detail when tracking shipment quantities, conditions, and timing.
- Comfort working around trucks, sea containers, and production equipment.
- Reliability and consistency in following safety procedures and warehouse protocols.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a warehouse and production setting that includes storage areas, loading docks, and freezer environments with temperatures between 40 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and work with inventory and logistics software. This is a 1st shift opportunity requires work on weekends every weekend.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
