Transportation and Logistics Coordinator

• Provide comprehensive transportation and logistics coordination and expertise to the Transmission Field Services organization.
• Oversee transportation and logistics needs for Transmission station and line material.
• Provide business environment knowledge and cost-effective solutions to transportation issues.
• Work with customers and suppliers to maintain on-time delivery and communicate anticipated transportation schedule changes.
• Identify cost-effective transportation and logistics services.
• Act as primary point of contact for Transmission Field Services transportation and logistics issues and initiatives.
• Implement and monitor a strategic external transportation and logistics plan targeting savings, service capability increases, and continuous process improvement.
• Manage centralized hauling processes and provide internal and external hauling guidance, coordination, and assistance.
• Analyze inbound and outbound material flows for optimization and efficiency opportunities.
• Manage outsourced hauling work authorization agreements and problem resolution.
• Monitor hauling contractor service levels and prepare contractor scorecards.
• Identify qualified transportation hauling, innovation, and support materials and communicate new options.
• Establish uniform claim procedures and assist field personnel with hauling claim resolution.

• Associate Degree in Business Administration or Technical related field.
• Ability to develop strong communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate multiple activities.
• Analytical and organization skills are desired.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel Spreadsheets.
• Four years' experience in operations, supply chain, logistics or transportation industry.
• Demonstrated analytical, scheduling and business process capabilities are strongly desired.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally and a negligible amount frequently; sedentary work.

Demonstrates expertise in transportation and logistics coordination, focusing on cost-effective solutions and process improvement. Proficient in managing operations within the supply chain and logistics sectors, with strong analytical and communication skills.
