** Job Summary*
* Under direct supervision of a qualified person, perform all types of work involved in the installation, maintenance, rearrangement, operation, removal and inspection of de-energized electrical transmission and distribution facilities. This essential functions are not intended to limit assignment of work or the degree of supervision under all operating conditions. The following reference is provided as a guideline for persons responsible for directing the duties and responsibilities of assigned personnel, to assist in the safety and development of employees, and is not intended to limit assignment of work or the degree of supervision under all operating conditions: DIRECT SUPERVISION - When a qualified person is working with/hands-on with the person performing the designated task.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISION - When a qualified person is near the structure/equipment and is in constant visual and/or verbal contact to the person performing the designated task. GENERAL SUPERVISION - An employee of equal or higher classification, knowledgeable of the task at hand and not necessarily at the job site. QUALIFIED PERSON - Line Mechanic or Supervisor who is knowledgeable of the task or work to be performed, and is capable of performing the appropriate emergency rescue.
** Job Description*
* ** What You'll Do:*
* As a Transmission Line Worker, you will support the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead transmission systems while ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability.
** Safety & Compliance*
* + Follow all company safety policies, regulations, and work practices.
+ Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and abnormal system issues.
+ Support right-of-way management activities and maintain safe access to transmission lines.
** Transmission Line Construction & Maintenance*
* + Install, maintain, and repair overhead transmission lines and supporting structures.
+ Set poles, towers, anchors, and guy systems, including excavation and foundation work.
+ Assemble and frame structures on the ground and at elevated heights.
+ Inspect and test structures prior to climbing to ensure safe working conditions.
** Climbing & Line Work Support*
* + Perform climbing activities to complete maintenance and installation work on transmission structures.
+ Assist qualified team members with energized line work using approved methods and protective equipment.
+ Use proper signaling, rigging, and rope-handling techniques for safe operations.
** Conductor Installation*
* + Install and terminate conductors and shield wires, including splices, dead-ends, and related components.
+ Identify conductor types and properly set up equipment for stringing operations.
** Equipment & Tools*
* + Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized transmission equipment.
+ Operate company vehicles, bucket trucks, and lifting/pulling equipment as authorized.
+ Load, transport, and unload materials such as poles, steel, and hardware.
** Teamwork & Development*
* + Work collaboratively with crew members and assist others as needed.
+ Participate in training programs to develop skills and support team capabilities.
** Documentation & General Duties*
* + Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and update field documentation.
+ Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations.
** What You'll Have:*
* ** Education requirements are listed below:*
* High school graduate or GED
** Work Experience requirement listed below:*
* + Minimum of one year transmission electrical power line work experience, OR
+ one year of related line experience defined as: successful completion of a one year electrical power line school certificate plus a minimum of 16 weeks internship or transmission electrical power line experience, or
+ an Associate degree from an electrical power line school which includes a minimum of 16 weeks internship or transmission electrical power line experience.

Valid Class A CDL is required*

* ** Line Mechanic C - $34.96 - $37.28/hr*
* ** Line Mechanic B - $42.53 - $43.69/hr*
* ** Line Mechanic A - $46.62 - $58/hr*
