The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's (ATC) office is recruiting for an Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector Manager to plan, organize, and administer specialized accounting or auditing functions. Essential duties include planning and scheduling financial, compliance, and operational audits; reviewing and evaluating audit reports; advising management on audit findings and recommendations; managing county-wide functions including collections, payroll, accounts payable, general accounting, auditing, disaster claiming, or property tax;
and supervising the preparation of a variety of statistical and accounting, auditing, budget, cost allocation reports and financial statements.

Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

- Must possess three (3) years of experience supervising professional-level accounting operations in one of the following areas: governmental accounting functions, accounts payable, payroll, cost accounting, property tax, intergovernmental fiscal relations, or auditing governmental functions.
- Must possess two (2) years of experience as a Supervising Accountant/Auditor or Senior Supervising Accountant/Auditor within ATC.
- Education:
Must possess a completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Bachelor's degree in another field which must include 24 semester (36 quarter) units of accounting coursework and 24 semester (36 quarter) units of business related coursework. An active California Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license may substitute for the education requirement.
All work experience must be clearly detailed and demonstrated on the application AND supplemental questionnaire to ensure qualifications are properly considered (resumes are not reviewed). All information must be current and up to date.
EDUCATIONQualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
