The position assists with office coordination, communications, and data analysis to support strategic projects that enhance efficiency, transparency, and service excellence. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in organizational effectiveness, risk management, and process improvement while developing professional, analytical, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, document preparation, and recordkeeping.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and promoting meetings, workshops, and special projects.
- Compile data and prepare summaries, reports, or presentations.
- Help develop and maintain materials, dashboards, and digital content to communicate key initiatives and outcomes.
- Support process mapping, survey design, and data analysis for improvement and audit-related projects.
- Serve as a front-line representative of the department, providing excellent customer service to campus stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Qualification:
Admission or registration as a CSU student.
- Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
- Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
- International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)

- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Be able to work two to three days a week (M-F).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and written communication skills.
- Analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Inquisitive mindset with a genuine interest in organizational improvement and data-driven decision making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with Canva, Power BI, or SharePoint is a plus.
Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.

Monday through Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm).
Summer available hours:
Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).
