Job Summary:
The Student Assistant will provide basic administrative and clerical support to the Dean's Office to include cross functional support to the other departments in the College of Natural Sciences.
Responsibilities:Under direct supervision, duties include but not limited to:
- Provide basic clerical and administrative support to faculty and staff.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to the appropriate office or staff member.
- Assist with filing, scanning, photocopying, and organizing documents.
- Enter and update information in spreadsheets, databases, or departmental systems.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and room reservations as needed.
- Assist with preparing forms, reports, presentations, and other office materials.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records.
- Help with student check-in, basic inquiries, and directing students to appropriate resources.
- Sort and distribute mail and departmental communications.
- Support special projects, events, workshops, and other departmental activities.
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Qualification:
Admission or registration as a CSU student.
- Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
- Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
- International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
- Eligible to work in the United States

Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.

Monday through Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm). Summer available hours:
Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).
