The Student Assistant will provide basic to general administrative and operational support to office staff. This position involves completing routine office tasks, organizing materials and information, assisting with errands across campus, and supporting the planning and coordination of special projects and campus events. The ideal student candidate is dependable, organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
ResponsibilitiesDuties include but not limited to:
- Organize and track records of all documentation submitted and process by the Office.
- Maintain files (creating, updating, and organizing).
- Filling, organizing, web searches, run errands around campus, daily office duties, light lifting, light cleaning and planning process of special projects/events on campus.
- Student Assistant will perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director or Lead.
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Qualification:
Admission or registration as a CSU student.
- Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
- Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
- International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
- Eligible to work in the United States

Applicant must be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, organized, and have the ability to work well alongside others. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Internet search ability required.
Compensation and BenefitsStudent Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
Position InformationWork status:
Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal
Monday through Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm).
Summer available hoursMonday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).
